Applying to the Program

Thank you for your interest in applying to the Baker Scholars Program! Information for the 2025-2026 Application for Class of 2028 will become available in November. Be first to know by signing up for our mailing list here.

Each year, a small number of Georgetown University College of Arts & Sciences sophomores are selected through a rigorous application and interview process.

Applications are reviewed by a group of Baker Scholar Trustees and program administrators from the Georgetown University College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office, followed by interviews with current Baker Scholars. Selected finalists are invited to participate in a one-day series of interviews with groups of Baker Scholar Trustees and the decanal representative, to inform final selections.

Baker Scholars are required to be on campus and part of the program for a minimum of three semesters. Therefore, students who plan to spend the entirety of their junior year abroad are not eligible. Likewise, students who study abroad for a semester and are planning on graduating early may not be a part of the program.

Information Sessions

Current Baker Scholars hold a series of information sessions before and during the application period. One information session will be held in the fall semester and four information sessions will be held in the spring semester. Prospective applicants should plan to attend at least one of the information sessions.

Session Dates:

Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 Dates have not yet been posted. Please check back in November for more information.
