Father Davis Weekend 2023
Every five years, the Baker Scholars Program hosts Father Davis Weekend, a reunion that invites the Baker alumni community and their families to return to the Hilltop. Named in honor of Father Royden B. Davis, the Dean who brought the program to the College in 1973, Father Davis Weekend provides opportunities for alumni to reconnect, meet the current Baker Scholars, tour the campus, and participate in a variety of special activities and conversations designed specifically for the Baker community.
Founded in 1973, the program will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. We invite you to join us as we celebrate the rich history of the program and the people who made it possible, as well as reflect on the program’s exciting future.
In anticipation of Father Davis Weekend and the 50th Anniversary, we are excited to announce the launch of the Baker Scholar Directory! This will serve as a database for the community to connect and reconnect with each other. It includes every Baker Scholar along with key contact and professional details gathered from the University and LinkedIn. Use it to find people who work in your industry, who live in your city, or who went to a graduate school you’re interested in. Please use your best judgment when using the database to reach out (i.e., no commercial solicitation). We hope this can bring the Baker Web closer together.
To access the directory, please visit the website: https://tinyurl.com/georgetownbakerscholars. If you have any questions, comments, or update requests, please reach out to George Roche (C’10) at george.alex.roche@gmail.com.
Father Davis Weekend 2023 will take place October 20–22, 2023.
